San Marcos — Eight San Marcos Academy Bear soccer players were named to the All-District teams in TAPPS Division II-District 3. The group includes (front) Kevin Walker, honorable mention; Trey Banks, first team; Calvin Kim, second team; Yestin Liu, honorable mention; Ignacio “Nacho” Navarro, first team; Memo Borrego, first team; (back) Roberto Moreira, honorable mention and Darby Rollins, who was named first team and District MVP. As goalie, Rollins had 13.5 saves per game for a save percentage of 0.09. He helped lead the Bears to an 11-6-3 season that ended with a bi-district playoff match against Tomball Concordia Lutheran, a team that made it to the state final four.
