High School Volleyball: San Marcos falls in Bi-District round
Bryan — For the second consecutive season, San Marcos lost in the Bi-District round of the Region III, Class 4A playoffs. The Lady Rattlers were swept Tuesday night by Magnolia at Bryan High.
San Marcos hung tough in the first set, forcing several Lady Bulldog timeouts. The Lady Rattlers cut a sizable Magnolia lead to 17-15 and Lady Bulldog head coach Terri Johnson was forced to call her first of two.
Magnolia rebounded following the break and used strong play by outside hitters Madison Kosir and Katzy Randall to extend its lead. The Lady Bulldogs won the first set 25-17.
In the second set, it wasn't as close, as Magnolia ran out to an early 14-8 lead. San Marcos never seemed to bounce back, as it fell behind even further and eventually lost the set, 25-14.
It didn't get prettier in the third set, as the Lady Rattlers looked defeated before the set even began. San Marcos fell behind early and were run off the court, 25-6.
