The San Marcos High School tennis team advanced to the Class 4A Region III tennis tournament after winning the District 17-4A championship. The team placed fifth at the tournament, held in Katy, finishing the team tennis season ranked No. 20 in Class 4A. Last week, the team received plenty of support with a send-off celebration complete with the band, cheerleaders and a police escort.
