College Volleyball: Bobcat spikers host East rival Lamar

Something got into the Texas State volleyball team after it lost to Central Arkansas at home Oct. 14.

The Bobcats haven’t lost since.

Texas State is on a six-match winning streak and host Lamar tonight at Strahan Coliseum. The Bobcats are sitting in second place in the West Division, while the Cardinals are a game behind in third.

Four of Texas State’s wins have come by way of sweep, as the Bobcats have taken out Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin and UT-Arlington in three sets.

Texas State beat the Mavs on the road Tuesday night as Mo Middleton led the Bobcats with 18 kills. Jessica Weynand posted a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs.

First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. tonight.
