Wimberley — Once Wimberley gets into the Class 3A playoffs, all bets are off. The Lady Texans usually find a way to win and win a lot.
Wimberley advanced to the Regional Semifinal by stopping La Feria in consecutive sets. The Lady Texans will play the winner of LaGrange and Needville.
After running through Aransas Pass, Wimberley took on a strong La Feria team. The Lionettes battled Devine and eventually won in four sets and took the confidence against the Lady Texans.
Wimberley dispatched La Feria easily though, taking all three sets by the score of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-11.
The Class 3A, Region III tournament begins Friday at the University of Texas-San Antonio’s Convocation Center.
