High School Volleyball: McCrocklin honored by UIL volleyball fans
AUSTIN — Former Wimberley High School and Texas A&M volleyball standout Courtney McCrocklin recently pulled in a prettty prestiguos award, even though she is no longer playing.
McCrocklin was recently named as a first-team selection on the University Interscholastic League All-Century Volleyball Team, recently announced by the UIL as part of its Centennial Celebration. The team was selected by fans, as more than 14,000 votes were casted.
McCrocklin is in very good company. Also on the list is Burleson’s Stacy Sykora, who was an All American at Texas A&M and is currently the USA Olympic Team Libero and All Americans Melissa Munch, and current University of Texas players Destinee Hooker and Michelle Moriarty.
At Wimberley, McCrocklin was a member of three state championship teams that had a combined record of 154-10. She went on to playthree seasons at Texas A&M before multiple stress fractures forced her to stop playing her junior season.
