San Marcos — Last weekend the Rattler swim team traveled to the Tex Robertson Natatorium in Burnet for the 4A TISCA swim championships.
The San Marcos High School boys team qualified for the Saturday finals in both the 200 freestyle and 400-freestyle relays.
D.J. Olivo made the finals in the 500-meter freestyle and Aiden Dietz made it in the 50 freestyle.
On Friday, the 400-free relay team of Dieta, Olivo, Joseph Enriquez and Brandon Hill set a new school record on their way to the finals.
After a long, hard day of competition on Friday, the 200-free relay team of Hill,Enriquez, Dietz and Forest Hess combined for a new school record.
This week the Rattlers look forward to a nice vacation from school, but not the pool, as they prepare to head back to Burnett for the Winter Classic on Saturday, Dec. 5.
