Bandera —
San Marcos Academy’s track team finished in fifth place out of 20 schools last weekend at the Bandera Bulldog Relays.
In the Bears’ first meet of the year, the 400-meter relay team (Anthony Richardson, Mark Hamm, Joshua McIntyre, and Michael Latham) took first place with a time of 44.94.
McIntyre also took first place in both the prelims and the finals of the 300 meter hurdles, while Latham took first in the prelims and second in the finals of the 100-meter dash.
Latham also placed first in the prelims and third in the finals of the 200-meter dash.
Brady Wickersham, who has finished third in high jump at the TAPPS 4A state track meet for the past two years, took second in the high jump at Bandera.
The team will compete in the San Antonio Christian track meet April 10 prior to the District 3-4A meet April 23.
