Features: Tyler Jones' unfinished legacy

The ceiling for senior quarterback Tyler Jones’ career seemed endless after 2014.

He debuted as a feisty freshman, but Jones’ true coming out party was his sophomore campaign during which he threw for 2,670 yards, 22 touchdowns to just seven interceptions and added 539 yards on the ground. He seemed destined to shatter school records by the time his career wrapped up.

City mulls impact of latest suit by Paxton

Anyone who has spent any time in or along the San Marcos River the last couple of year has seen the signs designating critical habitat for the federally-endangered Texas Wild Rice.
But city leaders aren’t sure yet if a lawsuit joined by Attorney General Ken Paxton against several federal agencies and individuals challenging the concept of critical habitat will have any local impact.

College Football: State can't upend Red Wolves' Sun Belt title hopes

Texas State had a chance to play spoiler Saturday night.

Arkansas State captured a share of the Sun Belt Conference championship (with Appalachian State) beating the Bobcats, 36-14. The defeat gave Texas State its first ever double-digit loss season.

Update (10:30) Final: Arkansas State 36, Texas State 14

Arkansas State took command in the fourth quarter with three touchdowns to end the game. 

The Red Wolves scored on a seven-yard touchdown reception by Dijon Paschal, 14-yard touchdown pass to Blake Mack and a two-yard touchdown run by Chad Voytik. 

The Bobcats 10th loss in the season finale gives Texas State its first double-digit loss season.
