Bill Henry

Bill Henry is a Republican candidate currently seeking re-election for the position of District Judge, 428th Judicial District. He was raised in East Texas and moved to Houston in his teens. Upon graduation, Henry received an academic scholarship to Baylor University in Waco where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree 1984. He then went on to Baylor Law School on academic scholarship.Henry married and moved to San Marcos 1988 after graduating law school and has been a San Marcos resident since that time. In 1988, he worked for the District Attorney’s office in Hays County and then left that position to join Fitzgerald, Majors and Stevens, also in Hays County where he practiced family law, business law and many property cases. Henry formed the Jones & Henry law partnership in Austin and practiced personal injury, criminal defense and other business litigation cases throughout Central Texas  The Texas Attorney General’s office recruited him in 2004 to try several large cases in transportation and was then appointed as the 1st Judge for the 428th Judicial District.
