Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is a 2018 Republican candidate seeking election to the position of Judge, County Court-At-Law No. 2. Johnson and his family has lived in Hay County for seven generations. He lived his early life as a typical “military brat” growing up as a child of an Air Force officer traveling the U.S. as well as abroad. He earned is Bachelor of Arts in History and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Johnson became an editorial assistant position with Harcourt Brace College Publishers directly after college. After graduating South Texas College of Law, he was admitted to the bar in 2001 and became a felony prosecutor in the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, and also practiced civil law at the Flahive, Ogden and Latson law firm in Austin. Johnson has practiced law in Hays county for over 12 years including positions as both a juvenile prosecutor and Senior Appellate prosecutor for the Hays County District Attorneys Office.  Some of his civic activities include Arrowman and membership of the Knights of Columbus, as well as administrator for the Jacks-Garner Scholarship for the Hays County Bar Association.  Chris is also very proud of his accomplishment as an Eagle Scout of the Trans-Atlantic Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
