Jeff Brown is a 2018 Republican candidate seeking re-election to the position of Justice, Supreme Court, Place 6. He resides in Kyle with his family and is presently part of several local civic organizations such as Leader of the Boy Scout Troop 222, Cub-Master of Cub Scout Pack 455, is a Member of the National Eagle Scout Association and is also a Coach for Baseball, Soccer & Football. Brown is also a Member of the Editorial Board of the Advocate and a Member as well as a Speaker for the Federalist Society. His Professional Experience includes his current position as Justice, State Supreme Court for the State of Texas, Place 6 as well as position as Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. Brown’s positions include Attorney with Baker Botts, Judge for Harris County’s Success Through Addiction Recovery Drug Court Number One, Instructor & former faculty for the National Judicial College, Briefing Attorney for the Texas Supreme Court, Judge of the Texas 14th Court of Appeals (2007-2013) and Judge of the 55th District Court of Harris County (2001-2007). Brown was also Co-editor of The Texas Rules of Evidence Handbook. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Texas in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1995.
