Kim Olson is a 2018 Democratic candidate seeking election to the position of Texas Agriculture Commissioner for the state of Texas. She resides in Mineral Wells, and served 25 years in the U.S. military retiring at the rank of Colonel in She was also CEO and President of Grace After Fire, a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women veterans. After 2005, she entered the field of public education and became the Director of Human Resources for the Dallas Independent School District in 2007. Olson has a Natural-Organic Certification from the Texas Organic Research Center and is a Texas master gardener
