Los Olivos Market, formerly Taste Buds Market, which focuses on offering the finest Texas wines, craft beers, specialty foods and gifts in a fun, casual atmosphere true to its Hill Country Roots, recently opened at 13904 Ranch Road 12.

Los Olivos Market strives to bridge the connection between great producers in Texas with customers who are looking for an authentic Texas experience. It is owned and operated by the father and daughter team of Rafael and Rebecca Varela, who share the passion for the little things in life that offer the biggest quality and best experience.

The wine tasting room offers one of the state’s largest selections of Texas wine with more than 40 vineyards and 200 varietals.

"It has been very exciting to see the growth and development of the wine and beer industry in Texas,” Rafael Varela said. “Additionally, we are starting to see a lot more exceptional small farms producing some very high quality products. We are glad to be part of it in some way and provide our customers a chance to experience the best Texas has to offer.”

In addition to offering customers a wonderful product selection, Los Olivos’ customers will live through an experience like no other. The entire staff aims to ensure that every customer who comes into the store or shops products online receives helpful and friendly service.

“We are here for our patrons, not the other way around,” Rebecca Varela said. “We are doing everything we can to give customers the best atmosphere and a joyful time.”

Los Olivos Market has plans to expand beyond Wimberley. The group is working on a possible expansion into Dripping Springs in 2019.

"This area is growing in so many positive ways,” Rafael Varela said. “We believe we can develop an attractive concept for guests that provides them with a truly valuable experience."
