Grande presents Pink Heals Hays County with check

Thursday, February 27, 2020

Grande Communications, the Texas-based broadband communications company, recently presented Pink Heals Hays County with a check for $672.

The donation was part of Grande's employee philanthropy club, Grande Cares, where employees seek to enhance the communities where they provide service and where they live, work and play.

Pink Heals Hays County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women and their families, not causes. They operate an Emergency Cancer Fund and have donated over $107,000 to assist families in their battle against cancer since 2012. To learn more about Pink Heals Hays County, go to their website.

Grande Communications employees in San Marcos raised these donated funds through a T-shirt sale where they sold pink Grande shirts to support the organization. Survivors are encouraged to sign the pink fire truck when they see it around town.

In addition to grants, Grande Cares drives much of Grande's culture of giving through annual company-wide summer food drives and holiday outreach initiatives in each local market. Since the founding of the Club in 2000, they have awarded more than $3 million in grants, donated thousands of holiday gifts to those in need and collected tons of food for food banks and pantries across Texas.
