Frederick Ficher tilts his box allowing paint-covered marbles to roll paint onto his Volkswagen Beetle cutout at the marble painting table.

Tirza Phillips and Parker Nicholson reach for the sky as they climb up the 26-foot climbing wall on the library lawn.

Sisters Jaelynn and Aubrey Woodward wait at the desk to check out their first books for the Summer Reading Program. The more books kids read and log on their summer reading logs, the better chance they have to win prizes throughout the summer. Summer reading logs are available at the San Marcos Public Library through the first week of August. For more information call 512-393-8200
