LifeLong Learning to present series of summer art classes

Sunday, June 20, 2021

The LifeLong Learning Organization of San Marcos will present a series of in-person and online summer art classes beginning July 7.

Course 1. Ink and Watercolor: People, Places and Things

This course will span five Wednesdays: July 7, 14, 21, 28 and August 4, at the San Marcos Rec Hall, located behind Lions Club tubing. The location allows for social distancing. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the fee is $50.

In this course, students will build lively drawings with ink, watercolor and touches of gouache. They will explore various techniques for building imagery with qualities of line, graded and layered washes and the expressive use of color. Students will also learn to simplify visual information, interpret values, mix colors, imply texture and embrace a spontaneous approach.
