Live Oak Health Partners adds Dr. Gilbert Rodriguez

Tuesday, January 21, 2020

Live Oak Health Partners Primary Care added Gilbert Rodriguez, MD to its roster of nearly 20 primary and specialty care providers serving the Hays County community and beyond.

Born and raised in Pearsall, Texas, Rodriguez is passionate about providing quality primary care and preventative medicine to his fellow Texans. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin, he obtained his medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan.

Rodriguez comes to Live Oak Health Partners after spending over five years as a resident physician at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple. He is proud to call San Marcos home, and, when he’s not in the office, enjoys being outdoors, reading and spending time with his family.

“Adding a skilled family physician like Dr. Rodriguez to our practice helps achieve our goal of providing comprehensive, compassionate medical care to our Central Texas community,” said Kathleen Chomel, Live Oak Health Partners interim administrator.

Rodriguez is accepting new patients at the Live Oak Health Partners Primary and Specialty Care clinic at 177B Kirkham Circle in Kyle. Call 512-405-0077 to make an appointment.

Live Oak Health Partners (LOHP) was formed Jan. 1, 2012 by joining two existing medical practices in San Marcos: Central Texas Medical Associates and Specialty Physicians of Central Texas. It is the first locally operated multi-specialty group in Hays County. More than 20 primary care doctors, specialty doctors and nurse practitioners provide high-quality coordinated medical care to the residents of Hays County and the surrounding communities. LOHP specialty care services include allergies/ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, critical care, obstetrics and gynecology. Several Live Oak surgeons perform procedures using the physician-guided da Vinci robotic system.

The Live Oak Community Clinic operates the clinical services at the Hays County Health Department, providing family care, well-child exams and immunizations to Hays County residents in need.

LOHP also has locations in Kyle and Wimberley. For more information, visit LOHP's website
