Finding their fur-ever home

Cat of the Week

Duke came to us in the beginning of January with some health issues that were immediately treated by our excellent vet services. He may still have some scarring from his condition, but that won’t stop him from trying to charm everyone he meets. This two-year-old domestic shorthair can’t get enough cuddles, and will even curl up in your lap for some relaxation and affection. Duke isn’t overly vocal or wild, so he’d be a great companion for a quiet and attentive family. Come and meet Duke, you’ll be sure to fall in love.

Dog of the Week

This week’s Dog of the Week is Sugar Momma, a dog that is as sweet as her name. We received a very pregnant Sugar Momma in December, and she had a litter of adorable puppies three days before Christmas. As soon as her puppies were grown they were picked up by a rescue, but Sugar Momma was left behind.

The shelter staff love taking this bubbly and affectionate four-year-old girl into the yard because all she wants to do is give hugs and get belly rubs. She could use a little manners training, but she only jumps so she can give you nuzzles and kisses right away. Sugar Momma would be an amazing addition to any family, with or without other dogs. Come and visit this sweet lover dog today.

Both pets are available for adoption and their $90 adoption fee covers their spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, microchip and city license. To learn more, or to meet these pets, visit us online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions to fill out an online application, or come to the shelter in person at 750 River Road.
