Texas native and classic country artist Randall King will be performing at Cheathem Street Warehouse on Friday, Oct. 20. He will be playing songs off of his classic country EP, "Another Bullet," that tells about the life of the last true cowboy.

Growing up listening to Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley and George Strait, has modeled the way he writes and produces music. The title of his newest EP, "Another Bullet," refers to the death of the old cowboy and is his way of keeping the old country sound alive.

From the West Texas plains of Hereford, King, is a fourth generation “hay hauler” and son of a trucker. His blue collar background brings modernized neo-traditional honky-tonk to life. His writing reflects his appreciation of his songwriting heroes, Merle Haggard, Whitley and Alan Jackson, and is characterized with a voice that rings true country. King moved to Lubbock, where he began to brew his own songwriting style. His traditional country roots evolved into the EP “Another Bullet” which contains songs solely written and produced by King. His current single “Hard Livin’ Illene” is a direct reflection of King finding himself and his modernized honky-tonk style.

The show will start at 10:30 p.m. this Friday at Cheatham Street Warehouse. General admission will be $8. Tickets can be purchased at http://ticketf.ly/2gt7rC3.
