Sponsors of the NJHS are Amy Nighbert and Tamra Howe. The chapter was founded at the Academy in 1947, and students are selected for membership based on excellence in the standards of scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship.
During the year, the Academy’s NJHS chapter raises money for the PALS (Prevent-a-Littler) Foundation through a pie-in-the-face event. They also assist with Giving Hope-San Marcos and they sponsor a child in a Haitian orphanage by providing financial assistance for his education.
