The Texas State University Stars At Night Concert Series continues on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. with the final concert of the fall semester, featuring the Attacca Quartet in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall, 405 Moon Street.

Praised by The Strad as "stunning" and for possessing "a musical maturity far beyond its members' years," the Attacca Quartet is currently celebrating its 15th season after forming at the Julliard School in 2003. From sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall to National Public Radio's far reaching Tiny Desk Concerts, the Attacca Quartet celebrates the timeless beauty of the string quartet for a broad audience and this sublime art form.

The quartet currently serves as the Ensemble-in-Residence at the School of Music at Texas State University where they collaborate with faculty members and work alongside students. Their latest album release features the string quartet works of the School of Music’s own Michael Ippolito. In addition to their Nov. 30 performance, the members of the Attacca Quartet will perform the following night, Dec. 1, in collaboration with the Texas State Chamber Orchestra.

This event is open to the public and is general admission. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for seniors, children and students, and $5 for Texas State Students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at or at the box office beginning one hour before the show.

Fee-based parking is available in the Edward Gary Street Garage, located on the corner of Edward Gary Street and University Drive.
