Sterling Quartet joins United We Sing

Headliners for the 15th Annual United We Sing concert will be the veteran a cappella quartet, Sterling.

The group has performed throughout the United States and has been invited to tour Finland three times. The always entertaining and energetic foursome is sure to please at the patriotic tribute on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.at Evans Auditorium on the campus of Texas State University. Admission is free and parking will also be free. Entertainment is guaranteed.

Another highlight of the concert is the United We Sing Community Chorus, made up of male and female volunteer singers from in and around San Marcos. More singers are urgently needed and all are encouraged to attend the special rehearsal for the Community Chorus Thursday, Sept. 7 from 7 p.m. to approximately 8 in the Choir Room at San Marcos High School. The Community Chorus will perform “The Star Spangled Banner” and America, the Beautiful.” Sheet music will be provided and may be used during the performance. Both songs can be soul stirring experiences for the singers as well as the audience.
