Martin Burtscher, a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University, has never attempted to model an inductively coupled plasma torch using predictive science before. That's what makes the current research project he's involved in so exciting.

Earth Day is again coming up. However, rather than just a one-day activity, this year a three-day activity is planned… starting on April 20-22. Today, we will mention a website to see a few of the activities plans planned…including a recycling game you can play if you’re still holed-up with the virus. Incidentally, this is the 51st year of celebrating Earth Day.
A call to honor the planet in support of earth day has produced a vibrant, smart, and varied look at earth through 69 works of art by 42 area artists in a new gallery show hanging now through May 22 at the Price Center in downtown San Marcos. Most of the artwork is available to purchase and a portion of any proceeds benefits the nonprofit Price Center’s ongoing community arts efforts.
April 12 is National Grilled Cheese Day. This recipe elevates the classic to a new level. Even though making sandwiches usually does not involve any cooking, that doesn’t mean layering flavors and selecting quality meats and cheeses involves any less intuition and skill. One of the most popular styles of sandwiches goes by many names, and what you call the sandwich may let others know which part of the country you call home.
Last March, in response to a growing need for connectivity and commerce within the Central Texas corridor, Davis and Patton Jones launched Squaredeal CTX, a digital marketplace for local artists to sell their goods online.

Right, the early April show at The Garden Guy’s house is bold and colorful with Supertunia petunias and Superbells calibrachoa. The Supertunia Vista Paradise petunia is an award winner from North to South including a perfect score all season at Michigan State University.
Petunias for pollinators, could be paradise, at least it seems this way at The Garden Guy’s house. First off, my wife Jan and I are having the most beautiful spring EVER. Not too long ago I wrote a column that planting a fall crop of Supertunias was a great idea. That is proving to be a huge understatement as that October planting survived the winter and is making an incredible display in both the landscape and containers.
In my travels within Texas and around the world, I have been fortunate to see many natural wonders and lots of interesting wildlife.
