Readers should realize all Noon Lions Club does

I am writing this letter to extol the generosity of the San Marcos Noon Lions Club for their extensive ongoing support of the Scheib Center.

Readers of this daily paper may not be fully aware of the massive amount of services provided to people with developmental and emotional challenges who live in Hays County. Readers may be aware that the Scheib Center has been the beacon of the provision of services to these members of the county population for decades. It is only with the financial support of groups like the San Marcos Noon Lions Club that we are able to serve and to provide comfortable surroundings for people who often come to us in a very distraught condition. There is definitely no way in which we at Scheib can fully give thanks to the Lions for the caring support which they provide. It has been my privilege to serve as a Board Member at the Scheib Center for the past three years. In this capacity, I have engaged in the preparation of grant requests annually for the Lions. Never has the Lions Club called to question the need for which we ask their support. They help Scheib in an awesome manner with total willingness. Thank you, Lions.
