The San Marcos food safety code is due for a revamp, and the city council will take a step toward doing just that tonight.

Continuing a tradition of more than 20 years, Gary Job Corps students and staff assisted with the bi-annual “Friends of the Library” book sale. The goal of this year’s sale is to raise $1 million for the library’s extension project. More than 4,000 books and 3,000 DVDs were put up for sale.
