Gary Job Corps cadet Michael Lewis was honored for his actions that helped save the life of a man stabbed at Sights & Sounds of Christmas. County seats 1st Hispanic judge

The Hays County Commissioners Courtroom was packed, with people lining the walls and even sitting on the floor, for the swearing-in ceremony for Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra.

Cadets in the San Marcos Academy’s Junior ROTC presented new, unwrapped toys to Brown Santa Dec. 11 after a week-long collection period on campus. The Bear Battalion has collected toys for the Hays County Brown Santa program for the past several years as their annual service-learning project. With Brown Santa are cadets Aaron Emerich, Caleb Guenther, Mac Daniel Howard, Ashton Blackstone, Josh Burich, Doyce Gore, David Britton, Gabby Cianciotto, Conner Irwin, Addy Cianciotto and Hudson Lee.
