Free lunch for veterans on Saturday

Veterans of the U.S. armed forces, along with those on active duty, will be able to eat for free on Saturday, Veterans Day, at two San Marcos restaurants.

Pluckers wing bar will be offering a complementary entree, side and non-alcoholic beverage (up to $15) when dining at the restaurant, located at 105 Interstate 35 North.

Texas Roadhouse, located at 1502 I-35 North will be offering a choice of 10 entrees, including a six-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides, along with any Coca-Cola product, sweet/unsweet iced tea or coffee during lunch.

Each restaurant requires proof of service such as a military or VA card or discharge papers.

Free lunch is also being offered by VFW Post 3413 at its headquarters on Hunter Road.
