Adult spelling bee rescheduled

The 2019 Adult Spelling Bee, hosted by the Friends of the San Marcos Public Library, has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 23, 7 p.m., at Aquabrew, located at 150 S. LBJ Dr.

 There are still team slots available for those who wish to participate, and the deadline to register has been extended to May 15, 2019.

 To register, teams must submit their registration form and $30 per team entry fee to the San Marcos Public Library information desk. Participation is limited to 15 teams.

 Teams of three participants aged 18 and up will compete for the title of 2019 Spelling Bee Champion Swarm of San Marcos. Teams will have 30 seconds to spell words on a whiteboard, tournament style, for a fast-paced fun time.

Funds raised from the event will assist the San Marcos Public Library.
