Courthouse Square to light up tonight

Courthouse Square will come alive with holiday lights tonight at the annual Lighting Ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m.

After the switch is flipped, Santa will be onhand from 6:30 to 7:30 to visit with local children and hear their Christmas wishes. Representatives of Brown Santa will also be present to collect unwrapped gifts from the community to benefit needy families.

There will also be cake, cookies and music.
