EPIC Piping applies for air discharge TCEQ permit

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is accepting public comment on an air permit application filed by EPIC Piping. 

The permit will authorize construction of the EPIC Piping surface coating facility at 2301 N. Interstate Highway 35 in San Marcos. The location is within Carlson Circle on the north side of San Marcos, between River Ridge Park and the Blanco River.

According to the TCEQ notice of receipt of the EPIC Piping application, the facility will emit “hazardous air pollutants, organic compounds, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, lead, exempt solvents and particulate matter including particulate matter with diameters of 10 microns or less and 2.5 microns or less.”

The application will be on display for public viewing and copying at the TCEQ central office, TCEQ Austin regional office and the San Marcos Public Library.
