Garza leaving Hays Co.

Clint Garza, who has worked for Hays County in various positions for the past 11 years, is leaving.

County Judge Bert Cobb announced on Tuesday that Garza has has accepted a position as city manager in Bee Cave.

“Bee Cave’s good fortune is Hays County’s loss,” Cobb said.

“Clint has done an outstanding job for Hays County in all the positions he’s held here. His experience and energy came at a time of massive growth in the county, and Clint was always on top of multiple projects and challenges. We wish him the best.”

Garza began his career as an environmental health specialist and also served as a program manager and development and community services director.

“I appreciate the opportunities I’ve had at Hays County, working with dedicated public servants to manage the needs of a county that is growing at an almost unbelievable pace,” Garza said.

 “I’ll miss Hays County, but am looking forward to new opportunities with the city of Bee Cave.”

“Clint’s integrity and can-do attitude has served Hays County well, and we appreciate all he’s done for us,” Precinct 4 Commissioner Ray Whisenant said. “We wish him continued success in his new role.

Garza most recently served the double role as chief of staff and executive director of countywide operations.
