Goodman passes gavel of Chamber ambassadors to new chair Groholske
Randolph Goodman, business community liaison for Gary Job Corps, has passed the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors’ gavel to Ted Groholske, business solutions representative for Rural Capital Area Workforce Solutions.
Groholske has assumed the duties and responsibilities of the chair of the Ambassador’s Club for the year 2018-19. The mission of the ambassadors is to strengthen the overall relationship with members by assisting with chamber events and creating awareness of the chamber in the community.
They are asked to serve for at least one year and most choose to renew their ambassadorship.
There are currently more than 750 members with the Chamber of Commerce and they have the following working committees: education, government affairs, sustainability, special events and networking. Ambassadors serve as greeters at events including the “Business on the Green” Golf Tournament, Business to Business Expo, new member orientation, San Marcos Chamber Gala, State of the City, transportation and health and generally foster goodwill among the membership.
Additionally, ambassadors represented the chamber in more than 50 new business ribbon cuttings. For further information concerning the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, call 512-393-5900, or email admin@sanmarcostexas.com.
