Historic Resources
Thursday, November 1, 2018

The city’s Planning & Development Services Department will hold an open house introducing a new historic resources survey, My Historic SMTX, Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Price Center, 222 W. San Antonio Street.

During the open house, city staff and hired consultants will present details about the project and provide opportunities for residents to share stories and information about historic buildings and places in San Marcos. Historic resources are identified as those 50 years old or older.

Presentations will be given at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Planning staff and consultants will be available to answer questions and discuss the project.

The purpose of the meeting is to identify qualifying resources and to develop recommendations to guide the city’s decisions about historic resources for use in future planning and development initiatives.

Whether or not they attend the meeting, residents may also share information on potential historic resources by visiting the city's website.
