With laptops and LEGOS, local kids attending the LEGO Boot Camp focusing on Engineering and Robotics were building creations of their own design on Thursday during the weeklong camp at the Price Center. While her brother Troy, 7, and Caleb Titus, also 7, took on a larger challenge — constructing an “earthquake maker.” The camp, by Learning Fun 101, is developmentally appropriate for STEAM robotics education. Activities throughout the week included bot battles, building a better mousetrap, catapult and a crazy lawnmower — just to name a few.
