Local students attend STEM camp at Rice
Four San Marcos ISD students and two teachers were among a select group from around the state to attend the prestigious Tapia Say STEM Camp at Rice University. Students experienced a week of fun-filled STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning and projects alongside their peers from various districts and had the unique chance to interact with professors at Rice University while living on campus. Teachers attended a professional development camp where they studied different methods of classroom instruction and project-based learning.
