The San Marcos Chamber Ambassadors recently helped to break the ground for construction of a new 249-unit apartment complex named the McCarty Commons Apartments. The new complex will be located at 1476 E. McCarty Lane, next to the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Construction is expected to last for 18 months. Daily Record photo by Pam Gravis
