Sunday, September 2, 2018

San Marcos Police are seeking three men in connection with the robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Encino Pointe apartments.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, the three approached a victim who told officers he was sitting on the tailgate of his truck drinking beer. “The subjects asked if he had an extra cigarette and at that time, two of the subjects jumped the victim while the third subject watched,” police said in an email in response to a Daily Record request to City Hall Friday.

“Victim stated that he was punched twice on the left side of his torso and punched in the face, which caused a busted lip … he also had some scrapes and cuts to his right hand,” the email said.

The victim said the suspects stole pre-paid credit cards from his wallet. He described his attackers as one black male and two Hispanic males. The black male was described as approximately six feet tall and muscular with rubber bands securing small braids in his hair. The first Hispanic suspect was said to be approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a mustache and full goatee, “short hair with a fade,” while the third man, also Hispanic, was described wearing a white polo shirt, blue jeans and a dark “beanie” cap.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police investigators at 512-753-2300. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 800-324-TIPS.
