Rezoning, attendance issues before trustees
The San Marcos CISD board of trustees has a light agenda for its regular meeting tomorrow night.
The board will hear a report on the district’s rezoning community meetings, which have been held at various campuses around the district over the past few weeks. With the construction of Rodriguez Elementary in The Trace, the district will need to redraw its elementary school attendance zone lines, and the meetings have served to share information about upcoming changes.
In other business, the board will consider nominating a candidate for the vacancy on the Caldwell County Appraisal District board of directors. The trustees are also slated to consider approval of the extension of a long-term rental of a facility, new instructional associate positions and comprehensive policy review updates. Approval of travel to Orlando, Florida, for the San Marcos High School Cheerleading Team for a competition is also on the agenda.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Criminal Justice Classroom of San Marcos High School, 2601 Rattler Rd. Regular meetings are livestreamed on YouTube.
