Time to sign teams up for Annual Ted Breihan Open, tourney slated on May 31

The Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos invites golfers to enter the 17th Annual Ted Breihan Open slated for Friday, May 31 at the Plum Creek Country Club in Kyle.

 The tournament is a Florida Scramble format and the shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. Registration is $500 per team of four. A breakfast buffet will start at 7 a.m. and lunch at noon.

 Sponsorships include Platinum, $1,450; Gold, $850; Silver, $650, 4-Person Team Sponsors, $500; Cart Sponsor, $250; Hole Sponsor, $200; and donations of raffle items or goodie bags.

 Teams and sponsors may register on the museum’s website at www.lbjmuseum.com.  

Lucky golfers who hit a hole-in-one on Par 3 holes can win a major prize — the top being a 2019 Buick Encore Preferred from Chuck Nash Auto Group. The top three teams will win trophies.

The deadline for online registration is May 24, 2019.  The rain date for the tournament is Friday, June 7

The Ted Breihan Open is named in honor of San Marcos community leader Ted Breihan, a founder of the LBJ Museum of San Marcos.

Plum Creek Country Club is located at 4301 Benner Road, Kyle.

The LBJ Museum of San Marcos highlights the college years of President Johnson at Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos from 1927-1930 and the impact his formative years had on his political career and landmark legislation during his presidency.
