Two possible ‘grinches’ arrested on Thursday

San Marcos Police arrested two men whose tan Honda van had been reported following a UPS delivery truck in the Westover and Castle Forest neighborhoods Thursday.

The city said a caller reported the two men appeared to be stealing packages from front porches after they were dropped off by the delivery vehicle.

The men’s names were not released but both were arrested on the basis of outstanding warrants, the city said. 

After that, narcotics were discovered inside their van.

Police would not release any more information until the two suspects go before a judge.

The investigation is continuing.
