Volunteers work together to remove troublesome plants that are obscuring the garden’s fence line and move felled trees out of the workspace.

Ann Whitus uses a pair of hedge clippers to clear out bushes that have grown up around the edge of the gardens over the years.

Chainsaw novice Shannon Avis gets a quick run-down on how to operate CJ Wright’s chainsaw.

Valerie Villarreal picks up an armload of plant trimmings as she works to help keep the volunteers’ work areas clear along the fence line.
