Celebrating love of nature and family at Spring Lake

Josie Bruner, 7, of Illinois, sits still as Olivia LaGrone paints a dog on her face. Josie and her family visited The Meadows Center on Saturday as part of a Texas roadtrip to thaw out from the Illinois winter. Bruner and her family planned to go on a glass bottom boat tour later that day. Family Fun Days at Spring Lake are held on select Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. throughout the year, complete with nature-themed activities, crafts and more.
