ENF Technology breaks ground on Kyle facility

Sunday, January 19, 2020

ENF Technology, LLC, a South Korea-based hightech manufacturer, broke ground on its $45 million manufacturing facility in Kyle on Friday.

Kyle Economic Development Director Diana Blank-Torres welcomed ENF Technology leadership, including Executive Vice President Lee Seung-ho, and other business and community leaders at the 25-acre site, which will feature the high-tech manufacturer’s 75,000-square-foot complex.

"We are honored to be a member of a business-friendly community that is on a phenomenal growth trajectory, Seungho said in a statement. “The City of Kyle and Hays County officials have warmly welcomed ENF Technology to the Texas Innovation Corridor — a location that provides the ideal site for us to serve our U.S. customers.”

ENF is expected to hire 45 to 50 employees to fill positions at its Kyle facility in the second half of 2020.

“The economic impact of ENF Kyle Technology will extend well beyond the city limits of Kyle, said Jason Giulietti, interim president of the Greater San Marcos Partnership. “Jobs will potentially be secured by community members throughout the Greater San Marcos region in Hays and Caldwell Counties.”

ENF Technology was established in 2000 in South Korea and specializes in the production of electronic materials and fine chemicals. ENF has seen growth with its high-quality products for electronic devices such as semiconductors. The company continues to expand globally with on-going manufacturing plants located in China.

ENF Technology was one of two high-tech manufacturers to announce new sites for expansion in 2019, joining SmileDirectClub, who announced in October.

“This operation will be among the highest paying employers in Kyle, elevating the quality of life for many of our residents,” Blank-Torres said in a statement.

Kyle’s newest high-tech manufacturing facility will be located at 1550 Kohlers Crossing in the master-planned community of Plum Creek.
