Final blood draw for HealthCheck is Friday morning

Tuesday, April 2, 2019

The final HealthCheck pre-event blood draw will be held Friday, April 5 in Central Texas Medical Center’s Community Classroom from 7 - 10 a.m.

While blood draws will be available at HealthCheck, attending the pre-event blood draw allows participants to review their results with a clinical provider at Hays County’s largest health fair on Tuesday, April 23 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos.

Participants who are unable to attend a pre-event blood draw can still have their blood drawn at HealthCheck from 7 - 11 a.m., but will receive their results in the mail at a later date. Please note that you must be fasting 8-12 hours before your blood draw.

The 2019 HealthCheck allows participants to receive more than $500 worth of important tests for just $30.

The $30 comprehensive screening panel includes:

• Complete Metabolic Panel (screening for glucose, renal and liver disorders);

• Lipid Panel (cholesterol with HDL/LDL breakdown, triglycerides), and;

•Complete Blood Cell Count (white blood cell, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelets).

 Several additional screenings are available for a low fee, including Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, or TSH ($15), Hemoglobin A1C ($15), Vitamin D ($15) and Hepatitis C ($15). Qualifying criteria is required to receive the Carotid Artery Disease (CAD) and Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) screenings which cost $30 each.
