Flood warning issued for Blanco River

The National Weather Service has issued a river flood warning for the Blanco River tonight and into early Saturday.
Meteriologist Yvette Benavides said the Blanco at Hwy. 80, which was at 8.4 feet Thursday, is expected to rise to 18.3 feet about midnight. A San Marcos River flood warning has also been issued for Luling.
Residents in flood prone areas are advised to stay abreast of developments at weather.gov, haysinformed.com or by checking USGS river gauges.
