Hays County Grand Jury issues indictments

The following individuals were indicted by the Hays County Grand Jury at their Sept. 26 meeting:

• Cameron Michael Stoddard, 24, of 401 N. Fredericksburg Street, San Marcos: Possession of alprozolam, less than 28 grans, and possession of tetrahydrocannabinol, less than one gram, both state jail felonies, both occurred Feb. 26.
• Ross Earl Davis, 28, of P.O. Box 81801, Austin: Possession of oxycodone, less than one gram, state jail felony, occurred Feb. 23.
• Angel Eduardo Recio, 18, of 271 Trinity Hills Drive, Apt. 3201, Austin: Possession of tetrahydrocannabinol, less than one gram, state jail felony, occurred Jan. 15.
• Martin Lozano Jr., 30, of 5202 Nuckoles, Austin: Theft with two prior convictions, state jail felony, occurred Aug. 22.
• Hunter Rother, 22, of 1603 Aquarena Springs Drive, Austin: Possession of dimethyltritamine, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony, and possession of compound drug, less than one gram, state jail felony, both occurred Feb. 8.
• Preston Taylor Shlfflett, 20, of 3403 62nd Street, Lubbock: Possession of lisdexamfetamine, less than one gram, state jail felony, occurred Sept. 9, 2017.
• Jeffrey Wayne Cummings, 27, of 4103 Running Creek, San Antonio: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree felony, occurred June 6, 2017
• Jacob Shane Herron, 31, of 923 Buckingham Drive, Kyle: Assault/family violence/repeat offender, third degree felony, occurred Aug. 8.
• Felix James Cervantes, 30, of 4770 E. Ranchroad, San Antonio: Possession of methamphetemine, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony, occurred May 31.
• Corey Cornelius Holiday, 42, of P.O. Box 91053, Austin: Assault/family violence/ impeding breath, third degree felony, occurred Feb. 26.
• Dewey Elton Smith Jr. 28, of 8406 Bridgewood Drive, Memphis, Tennessee: Endangering a child, state jail felony, assault/family violence/impeding breath, third degree felony, and endangering a child, state jail felony, all occurred March 26.
• Logan Graham Bushman, 27, of 2438 Fayette Drive, New Braunfels: Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, third degree felony, occurred Aug. 9.
• Samuel Lee Sheeler, 59, of 302 Judy Drive, Dripping Springs: Driving while intoxicated, subsequent felony offense, third degree felony, occurred July 15.
• Bailey Deanna Ayala, 25, of 600 Shepard Trail Drive, Kyle: Possession of cocaine, less than one gram, state jail felony, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, four grams or more, first degree felony, and evading arrest with a motor vehicle, third degree felony, all occurred July 18.
• Donald M. Hale, 29, of 1506 I-35 South, San Marcos: Tampering with physical evidence, third degree felony, occurred Aug. 18.
• Grand jury indictments are not findings of guilt. Rather, they reflect the opinion of jurors that there is sufficient evidence in each case to warrant trial.
