Juneteenth Cookoff winner

Second place winners in the Brisket category were (from left) Eddie Rodriguez, Mia Gutierrez, Constable David Peterson (official) and Steven Gonzales. The Juneteenth Cookoff also included the categories of pits, pork chops, fajitas, beans, margaritas, chicken, ribs, cobbler and cook’s choice. Proceeds from the cookoff go to several charities in Hays County. The Juneteenth Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization. Submitted photo
