Floats, skaters and bicyclers in the Juneteenth Parade make their way up LBJ Drive on their route to San Marcos Plaza Park for a barbecue cookout and food and arts and crafts booths.

The celebrations commemorates June 19, 1865 when slaves in Texas learned of the signing Emancipation Proclamation.
