SMCISD’s ‘Purple Bus’ rolls today

The San Marcos CISD Summer Nutrition Program kicks off this week at several locations around the district, with the “Purple Bus” mobile meal delivery starting today. The program allows San Marcos residents ages 18 and under to eat for free; adult trays are available for $3.50.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the San Marcos High School Cafeteria from June 4-Aug. 9; at the Goodnight School Cafeteria from June 4-Aug. 9; and at the Bonham School Cafeteria from June 6-June 28. At the De Zavala School Cafeteria, breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 4 through July 25. Lunch will be served at the San Marcos Public Library and Redwood Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 4 through Aug. 9. 

The Purple Bus will deliver lunch to the Morning Wood neighborhood at 10:30 a.m., to Regency Mobile Home Park on Post Road at 11:15 a.m., to Encino Pointe Apartments on Post Road at noon and at Sienna Pointe Apartments on Hunter Road at 12:40 p.m.
